Important 2024 updates to Google Business Profiles for Real Estate Agents

Nearly everybody uses Google to discover & research local real estate every single day!

A “Google Business Profile” listing is a must-have for all Agents.

Google accounts for over 90% of all search engine traffic on the web.  This is a big opportunity for real estate agents to become the trusted authority in their local area.

For instance, if you search for “Real Estate Agent” (often people include “near me”) – After Google determines that you’re based in say Paddington, it will automatically show nearby Agents, which is why local SEO is critical.

According to Google, the top 3 listings get 60% of the traffic on the search result page. Make it your mission to be in these top 3. If you do things right with your “Google Business Profile”, you may feature among the top 3! You’ll have enhanced visibility, more profile clicks, and consequently, more business. Pro tip: Use suburb names rather than city names.

There’s no point having Google Business Profile set up if the information listed is inaccurate or out of date.
